Mythical creatures that symbolize Fire

Fire- Fire breathing, skin 

Chimera (Common)-(Less Common)

The Chimera is a mixture of animals. It features usually consist of having the head of a lion combined with the head of a goat,  a lions body and a snake for a tail.  This creature is very open  as the overall design of it varies and other kinds of animals are sometimes involved in the mixture. Because of this leniency I feel that it can not be judged as a Common or a Less Common creature. This could work to my advantage as i too could recreate the chimera in my own style.

 

Cons-  

Pros- Any animals can be used

Phoenix (common)

The Phoenix is quite a common character and features in other types mythologies. It appears as a huge bird that rises from its dead ashes, making it immortal. After consideration i feel that the phoenix would be quite a complex character to create as a 3D model.  As its whole body is based on fire, i needs to be fluent and uncontrollable for it to stand out.  i think special effects would be needed more instead of textures.

 

Cons- fiery effects will be needed to shape the wings

Khalkoauroi (Less Common)

The Khalkouroi is a Large  bull which has bronze hooves and a bronze inner mouth. Because the mouth is bronze the Khalkouroi can also breathe fire and feel nothing. Although i like the combination of a man-made material mixing with an organic animal, its overall design is quite plain. I would like to create more of a monstrous character  rather than just a typical bull.

 

Cons- Overall creature design is to plain, environmental issues 

Pros- Bronze mouth and hoofs, make him look more mechanical.
